Leave of Absence Policy

Captain Corrosion OÜ understands that employees may need to take a leave of absence from work for a variety of reasons. Our leave of absence policy is designed to provide guidance to employees regarding their rights and responsibilities when taking a leave of absence.

Types of Leave:

  1. Medical Leave: Employees who are unable to work due to a serious health condition or who need to care for a family member with a serious health condition may be eligible for medical leave under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). Employees may also be eligible for leave under state or local laws.
  2. Personal Leave: Employees may request personal leave for reasons such as attending to personal or family matters or pursuing education or training opportunities. Personal leave is granted at the discretion of the company and is subject to business needs.
  3. Military Leave: Employees who are members of the National Guard or Reserves may be eligible for military leave under the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA).

Eligibility:

Employees who have been employed with Captain Corrosion OÜ for at least 12 months and have worked at least 1,250 hours during the 12-month period prior to the start of the leave are eligible for medical leave under the FMLA. Other eligibility requirements may apply for personal leave or military leave.

Requesting Leave:

Employees must submit a request for leave in writing to their supervisor and the Human Resources department. The request should include the reason for the leave, the expected start and end dates, and any supporting documentation, such as a doctor’s note.

During Leave:

Employees on leave of absence are expected to maintain communication with their supervisor and the Human Resources department. Employees may be required to provide periodic updates on their status and expected return date.

Returning to Work:

Employees who take a leave of absence are guaranteed the same or an equivalent job upon their return, as long as they return within the time frame specified in the applicable leave policy. Failure to return to work at the end of the leave period may result in termination of employment.

Captain Corrosion OÜ is committed to supporting employees who need to take a leave of absence from work. We will work with employees to ensure that they understand their rights and responsibilities and receive the support they need during their leave.

Employee Disciplinary Action Policy

Captain Corrosion OÜ is committed to maintaining a productive and respectful workplace culture. Our employee disciplinary action policy is designed to provide guidance to managers and employees regarding the company’s expectations for behavior and actions in the workplace.

Disciplinary action may be taken when an employee engages in conduct that violates company policies or procedures, is detrimental to the company’s interests, or fails to meet the company’s standards of conduct.

The following steps may be taken when disciplinary action is necessary:

  1. Verbal Warning: A verbal warning may be given to an employee who engages in behavior that violates company policy or is otherwise inappropriate. The warning will be documented and will serve as a record of the employee’s conduct.
  2. Written Warning: A written warning may be given to an employee who continues to engage in behavior that violates company policy or is otherwise inappropriate. The warning will detail the behavior that is the subject of the warning, the expected changes in behavior, and the consequences of failing to improve.
  3. Suspension: A suspension may be imposed on an employee who engages in serious or repeated violations of company policy or engages in behavior that is detrimental to the company’s interests. The suspension may be with or without pay, depending on the severity of the violation.
  4. Termination: Termination may be necessary when an employee engages in behavior that is so serious that it cannot be remedied through other disciplinary actions or when the employee fails to improve after receiving disciplinary warnings. Termination will be documented and will serve as a record of the employee’s conduct.

Captain Corrosion OÜ reserves the right to determine the appropriate disciplinary action based on the circumstances of each individual case. Disciplinary action will be taken in a fair and consistent manner, and employees will be given an opportunity to respond to any allegations made against them.
