How to Make a Science Video Workshop

In November we carried out a DIY science video workshop in Turku (Finland), where participants learned about the basics of making videos for promoting their business, research, work group or other things. Furthermore we also discussed how to properly set up the related media channels and videos and how to properly distribute the video to reach a larger audience and generate a constant stream of viewers. As a practical example we showed how Captain Corrosion OƜ and the Laboratory of Thin Film Technology (Institute of Physics, University of Tartu, Estonia) have collaborated to produce engaging science videos that have been watched hundreds of thousands times over the last few years.

Special thanks to the Turku Science Park, PoRes Communication and Tartu Science Park for making the event possible!
