Use the tool to simulate galvanic corrosion and evaluate its severity by combining materials.
The Engineering Edition of this simulator can be accessed through the blue link below after purchasing the Captain Corrosion Service Token (50€), which provides you with a password to access all of our premium content.
Galvanic Corrosion Simulator Engineering Edition features:
- Corrosion severity evaluation function
- Alter humidity level to evaluate corrosion severity
- Alter temperature to evaluate corrosion severity
Galvanic corrosion in salt water, where the more active metal is rapidly corroded when in an electrical contact with a more passive metal.

Galvanic series in sea water shows the activity of different metals and alloys. If the potential difference is greater than 0.2 V, then the metals should not be combined unless additional corrosion prevention techniques are applied or dealing with a very dry application environment.
